GHS Class of 1989

Recently, my class celebrated our 20 year reunion. I can't possibly be that old, can I??? The calendar says that yes, I am!

Here we are in Kindergarten, 1976/77...
Our Senior Class picture, 1988/89
And, here we are in 2009...
About half of our class was able to come to the reunion.
Here we are with our families...
One of our class members pointed out, that this picture is proof that we did learn how to multiply!
It was a beautiful, hot July afternoon, and we had a GREAT time visiting with old friends!

Tina (pictured below in black) traveled the most miles. She came in all the way from California!
Chris (pictured below) was our co-planner. His hard work helped to make our reunion possible!

Mother & Daddy hosted the event at our place, and because of their planning & hard work, it was wonderful!!! Either they are gluttons for punishment, or they are angling for better Christmas presents!!! THANKS, MOTHER & DADDY!!!!! Your hard work and generosity are GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Happy Birthday, Duane

We celebrated Duane's birthday in early July. A great time was had by all!

First, a celebration with the Kersten Clan...

Followed by a quick trip to Duddley's Draw to celebrate with friends...

When the weekend rolled around, we celebrated again with dinner at Chili's & more time with friends.
Happy Birthday!!!! Thank goodness it only comes once a year!!!!

Hummingbirds!

Mother has always enjoyed her bird watching and bird feeding. Their backyard is full of various types of birds enjoying the many feeders she has.  This evening, we were sitting on the patio watching the hoards of hummingbirds swarm & fight over their feeder.  My camera doesn't do it justice, but there were around 20 birds fighting over this feeder! Seven birds was the most I managed to catch with my camera. (I think a newer, better camera just made its way onto my Christmas list!!!)

Happy Birthday, America!!!

Duane & I are very fortunate to have such good friends.  It is tradition to spend Independence Day at Rob's Lake Limestone house.  We always have a good time, but it isn't always fun and games.  This year, we worked on the deck.

First, came DESTRUCTION!!!

There is always a bit of cleaning to do!
Good times with good friends!
All work and no play makes Aggies very cranky, so (of course) we had to squeeze in some lake fun!!!  How many Aggies does it take to blow up a raft?????

Hold on, Casey!!!

And now, CONSTRUCTION!!!
Noah was VERY interested and watched all of the deck work!

Finally, time for a rest!
And food!!!
Bombs Away!!!
Noah love-love-LOVED the fireworks, and told me, "Pretty Cecie!!!" over and over again!
Beautiful!!!

On Sunday, after a couple more hours of working on the deck, it was finally time for a bit of relaxation, but even that is strenuous!!!  Here, Jeremy schools Duane on a Wii bit of Punch Out!

And, Noah takes a turn around the track in Mario Cart!

Another wonderful holiday at Lake Limestone!
Good Food!  Good Friends! Good Times!!!
