A Shower for Baby Drager

It is almost time for Caleb to make his way into the world, so we had to celebrate.  Shannon & I threw a shower for this lovely lady!

 There was cake...

and flowers...

and punch...

 and LOTS of food!

Shayne's little girl, Hannah, had a great time!

Noah kept the younger cousins entertained! 

There were lots of friends... 

and family! 

 And, of course there were games!

Crystal did pretty well at Ninja Mommy!

There were LOTS of presents!

Noah made an appearance to help open the presents! 

Hannah was also pretty excited about the presents! 

AND Score!  Meme got Noah a B-I-G bag of presents!

Shannon didn't have any trouble finding people to hold  little 4-day-old Nathaniel!!!  He is a handsome boy!

Gettin' Crafty!

Kim gave me a REALLY cute picture of Kaylee that she mod-podged onto canvas.  Since I needed pics for my new office, I decided to do the same with pics of the rest of the nieces & nephews. Kim assured me it was easy, but I had a HARD time believing it was as easy as she claimed, so there were multiple texts as I geared up to complete the project.  

A trip to Hobby Lobby for the Mod Podge, paint, brushes, & canvas...

 Got the prints from Walgreens; I love that I can submit the order online and pick up the enlargements in an hour!

Painted the canvases black... 

Then mod-podged the pictures onto the black canvas!

A bit of black paint around the edges to blend the picture with the canvas, and several (5) coats of Mod Podge on top of the picture/canvas to seal everything in with texture! The hardest part was waiting for each step to dry before moving on to the next step!  Fortunately, Mod Podge dries REALLY fast!

It really was THAT easy!

 Now, they are at home in my new office!

LOVE them!!!

Jamfest, Part 2

Margaret & Keith brought us some DEELISH East Texas blueberries on their way home from Shreveport, so I had to make some jam!  It is sooooooo good!!!!!

And LOTS of games!
Shannon had GREAT mommy-ninja skills!

 This girl was a HUGE help in getting ready & setting up!

Sea World 2012

Took a few days away from home to visit the Prince Peeps in Bandera.

I had never been to Sea World, so Caitlin & Jackie took me.

Saw the dolphins.  Didn't get to pet one, but they swam right up to us!
