Growing! Growing! Growing!

In just a couple of weeks, the garden has exploded...literally!

There is a bell pepper that is almost ready to pick...

LOTS and LOTS of teeny-tiny tomatoes, and even MORE blooms!

The cucumbers are blooming like crazy too!

Happy Birthday, Chris!

Chris had a birthday, so we had to celebrate!!!

He was pleased with his gift...

And, had some help putting it together.

Robert supervised, of course!

There was cake!

 And poker!

It was a fun night with great people!

FACES Golf Tournament

Each April, Duane plays in the FACES charity golf tournament.

This year, they had a terrific threesome!

 Check out that form!

And, of course, there is a lot of visiting with family and friends at the tournament.

The Kerstens always have a great time supporting this very worthy cause.

Duane's threesome just missed winning this prized trophy.

But, the disappointment didn't last long, because he won a brand-new, fancy driver in the raffle!

 So. Very. Excited!

Happy Birthday, Noah!

We went to Power Sports to celebrate a VERY special boy on his 6th birthday!

Happy, Happy Birthday, Noah!!!

How does the garden grow?

It's been planted for about a month, and the garden is making some really good progress!

Easter, 2013

 Happy Easter!

Even our deviled eggs were festive!!!

A Starvin' Marvin!

Jacks has a really cute(?) habit of dragging his empty food dish to the end of our hallway.  It's his way of telling us that he is HUNGRY NOW!!

Kersten Garden 2013

On March 15, we planted our garden!

We planted 4 varieties of tomatoes: Celebrity, Roma, Patio, and Cherry

 We planted green bell peppers.

And, new to our garden this year? CUCUMBERS!!!

The snails? we didn't plant them, but they came to visit anyway!
