Decorating Our Tree!

I love decorating our tree; every ornament is like taking a walk down memory lane. This year was no different.

One of "our" first ornaments.
Mother made this one for our church in Garrison and gave it to us for our tree.

I cross-stitched this one for Grandma Mills when I was just 12.
I remember finishing it in the car as we drove to Freeport.
We always get an ornament when we go on vacation!
The star is last on the tree.

Merry Christmas!

Aggies Beat Mizzou!

This first SEC season has been surprising, to say the least!  We fully expected to take our lumps during this season, and things haven't been perfectly smooth.  BUT, the passion & play of Johnny Manziel, our awesome O-Line, and never-say-quit defensive players, along with the coaching of Sumlin & Kingsbury have led the Aggies to a VERY successful SEC season.  Duane & I were lucky enough to go to the Mizzou game (thanks, Fun!) to see this for ourselves!

Tradition still rules, so students still stand.
Yell Leaders still yell.
 Reveille still guards the field.
12th Man Towels still get waved.
The Band is still awesome and the absolute BEST!

And, the Twelfth Man still suits up with the team.
BUT, this is a new sight!
A blast from our past---Bucky Richardson, Darren Lewis, and
Aaron Wallace were all honored during the game!

 Johnny Football fever is EVERYWHERE!

Coach Sumlin

  The blimp was there!
The Aggies won, so the Yell Leaders are getting ready to RUN!
Right after the War Hymn, of course!
And it's off to the Fish Pond for a final Yell Practice!

Manziel Fever!

Everyone in Aggieland is suffering from Manziel Fever!!!  I was lucky enough to see him when he came to talk to the Sam Rayburn Raiders football team.  He is genuinely a good kid, and even agreed to pose for a few pictures!  I think I shocked him when I asked him if I could take a picture of him reading because he laughed out loud at me!  But, he was a good sport and posed for the crazy request!!!

Happy Anniversary & Go Cowboys!!!

For anniversary #6, Duane & I headed to Jerry World to see a Dallas Cowboys game.  It was my first NFL game, and our first time at the new stadium.  It is definitely a sight to see!
The very definition of irony, given his sideline behavior & antics! HA!
The Cowboys' defense really did a good job!
Eli Manning & the Giants' offense were on fire!
Romo and the Cowboys' offense FINALLY got it together and staged a late-in-the-game comeback to make the game fun and exciting!

TOUCHDOWN!!!
 Not replacements!
The halftime show was a Thriller!
 GO COWBOYS!
  TOUCHDOWN!
EVERYONE is mesmerized by the HUGE jumbotron!
 VERY intense!
Even though the score wasn't the way we wanted it to be,
it still was a GREAT anniversary!

Aggies BTHO Arkansas!

One of the benefits of living in Aggieland is that you occasionally get to see all of your friends who come into town for an Aggie event!  Duane had a few friends visiting for the A&M-Arkansas football game.  It was a great game, and a fantastic visit with old friends!
